It is not just wine that comes from the Valpolicella region in Veneto but also delicate award winning olive oil. The Veneto Valpolicella DOP from Bonamini is an unusual interesting oil; yellow, with a green tinge and a smell of tomato.

The taste is fresh, fruity and long with a hint of tangerines and pear drops, followed by a fair measure of bitterness and strong pepperiness that persist over time. It is a delicious blend of two olives - Favarol and Grignano.

Ranked 91/100 by “L’extravergine” - the Guide to the Best Quality Oils in the World, 2008 & 2009 Editions and in the 2010 & 2011 Editions of Flos Olei. Numerous awards have been bestowed upon this oil including Best DOP oil in the Delicate category by Flos Olei in 2011.

Nestled in the hills in the province of Verona since 1965, Bonamini is a family run business today headed by Giancarlo Bonamini. This zone is famous throughout the world for its wines like Recioto di Soave and of course Amarone della Valpolicella. In the highest part of these hills is where the local olives GRIGNANO, FAVAROL as well as FRANTOIO, LECCINO and MORAIOLO are cultivated. Because of the particularly challenging landscape, all of the cultivation and harvesting is done by hand thus guaranteeing the integrity of the olive quality which is evident in this particularly fine and fragrant oil.
